3 Grant eligibility
The OZEV EV Chargepoint Grant (£350) is now only available to flat owners, long-term rental tenants, and landlords. Owner-occupiers of houses are no longer eligible (scheme changed April 2022).

Assumptions and limitations
- Unit costs based on mid-range smart chargers (Ohme, Wallbox, Andersen, Project EV, Myenergi Zappi) Q1 2026 UK pricing.
- Base installation includes up to 5m of cable run, single-phase supply, standard surface mounting, RCD protection and certification.
- Consumer unit upgrade (£400) only added if your fuse box is pre-2015 or you're unsure — your installer will confirm.
- OZEV EV Chargepoint Grant: £350, available to flat owners (with dedicated parking), rental tenants (with landlord permission), and landlords. Owner-occupiers of houses have not been eligible since April 2022.
- Installers must be OZEV-authorised for the grant to apply. Grant is claimed by the installer on your behalf and deducted from the quote.
- 22kW chargers require a 3-phase electrical supply — most UK homes are single-phase. Upgrading to 3-phase is a separate cost (typically £3,000–£8,000+) paid to your DNO.
